Bret
T. Barnhizer,
Chairman
of the Board, CEO, and President. For more than 25 years,
Mr. Barnhizer has provided engineering, operations management,
and project management services to Chevron, BP, Unocal, Occidental
Petroleum, and others in the U.S., Europe, Africa, and Asia. Mr.
Barnhizer has managed and been involved in projects of varied
scope, ranging from 40 million to over 500 million dollars in
value. Through the enabling of individuals in numerous teams in
the energy industry, he has been responsible for the adoption
of breakthrough applications of technology, now in widespread
industry use, that have resulted in dramatically improved economics
and performance in upstream operations.
Robert A. Ollar, Ph.D, M.Sc., Director. Dr. Ollar, co-founder
of the company and author of the majority of the company's granted patents has re-joined
NanoLogix as a member of the Board of Directors after an absence of many years. Dr. Ollar
currently serves as the Director, Core Molecular Biology Program, Department of Surgery at
St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan. He also serves as Assistant Professor at New York Medical
College. He has a broad range of experience in dealing with technologies specific to infectious
diseases, opportunistic infectionism, mycobacteriology, TB Complex, Non-Tuberculous Mycobacteria(NTM),
and various cancers (breast, gastrointestinal, Pancreatic, and Prostate). He currently holds a
Hospital Appointment to Scientific Staff, Department of Neurology, St. Vincent’s Hospital and
The Medical Center of New York and lectures on Infectious Diseases of the Central Nervous System,
Tuberculosis and AIDS-Related Mycobacterial Pathogens, and the Application of Molecular Biology for
Neurodiagnostics at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York, Department of Neurology, as Assistant
Professor of Neurology. In addition, Dr. Ollar also serves as the Head of the Molecular Biology Unit
in the Department of Neurology at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York, where he
lectures to Neurology Residents on principles of Molecular Biology. He conducts molecular genetics-based
research projects and lectures on the subject of Infectious Diseases of the Central Nervous System and the
Isolation and molecular biological analysis of Mycobacterial, Nocardial , Fungal and Viral Neuropathogens
from patient specimens.
John Chatterton,
Director. John Chatterton is
one of the world’s most accomplished and well known underwater explorers. The discovery
and subsequent identification of the German World War 2 submarine
U-869, off the coast of
New Jersey by John and his partners, has been the subject of several television documentaries
and also of the New York Times bestselling book
Shadow Divers by author Rob Kurson.
Shadow Divers
is currently published in 21 foreign languages and is also an audio book. The movie rights to
this international bestseller have been purchased by 20th Century Fox. John was also one of the
co-hosts for the History Channel’s Deep Sea Detectives, where he worked on all 57 episodes of the
successful series. He is a consultant to the film and television industries and has worked with the
Discovery Channel, PBS, CBS, HBO, 20th Century Fox, and Paramount Pictures. In 2005, John and his
partners put together an expedition to the world’s most famous shipwreck,
RMS Titanic. From the
Russian Research Ship Keldysh, they explored the wreck using the MIR submersibles. Their expedition
was featured on two award winning History Channel specials, and will be chronicled in a new book,
Titanic’s Last Secrets by author Brad Matsen. It will be published by
Twelve and is scheduled for release in October.
John is currently involved in several business ventures which
include projects for television, a new underwater survey
company, and another book.
David Barnhizer,
General
Counsel. David Barnhizer is Professor of Law
Emeritus at the Cleveland State University College of Law.
He teaches in areas that include Trial Advocacy, Strategy and
Alternative Dispute Resolution. He earned a Master of Law (LL.M)
degree from Harvard Law School and received his Juris Doctor
degree (J.D.) summa cum laude, from the Ohio State University
College of Law. In a rich and varied career he has been a Visiting
Fellow at the University of London’s Institute for Advanced Legal
Studies, a Ford Urban Law Fellow at Harvard Law School, Visiting
Professor at Westminster University School of Law in London, and
taught human rights and international environmental law in St.
Petersburg, Russia. He has been designated a Diplomate in Trial
Advocacy by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, been a Senior
Advisor to the International Program of the Natural Resources
Defense Council, served as General Counsel for Earth Summit Watch,
and worked as International Consultant in the Government of Mongolia’s,
Mongolian Action Programme for the 21st Century. He is currently serving
on the Board of Directors of Performance Capital Management, LLC, and was
a strategic consultant to British Petroleum/Sovonics Solar Systems joint
venture, as well as Rapporteur to the National Foresight Capability Workshop
of the U.S. House of Representatives, Energy and Commerce Committee.

Chris Novak, Intellectual Property Counsel. Mr. Novak is a registered patent
attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and
is licensed to practice law in several states. He has eight years experience
as a patent attorney for several high-technology companies in Silicon Valley as well
as ten years experience in various engineering roles in the aerospace and
automotive industries. Mr. Novak earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from
Marquette University where he also earned a BSME. He also holds a MSEE degree
from California Polytechnic State University, and is currently working towards a
degree in biotechnical science.

Sergey V. Gazenko, Ph.D., Vice President of
Research and Development. Dr. Gazenko was awarded his
doctoral degree from The Institute of Applied Biochemistry in
Moscow. Dr. Gazenko has worked for more than 25 years in the
area of microbiological diagnostics and is the author of
numerous scientific publications and patents. He is the original
author of the concept of BioNanoChannel(TM) testing technology,
a revolutionary approach for rapid and early detection of
bacteria. Dr. Gazenko's current research focus is on both
medical testing and treatment technology and research on the
production of Hydrogen through the use of bioreactors.
